The founder and director of LanguagePoint is from Mexico city. He completed his university studies in the UK where he earned a B.A.(Honours) in Latin American Studies and the postgraduate teaching degree, PGCE.
Most instructors are graduates and native to San Miguel de Allende; all are bilingual and participate in the updating of all Spanish courses. Former students' comments attest to their professionalism.
HOW YOU'LL LEARN SPANISH WITH US:
Spanish courses have a maximum of three students per class to ensure rapid learning. You won't waste valuable time waiting for the other 10 (or so) students to answer correctly.
With us, you'll learn Spanish by speaking. Spanish Passport (our award-winning guide with explanations in English) enables you to practice in Spanish classes the real statements you'll be needing in the real world outside class. Our bilingual instructors have thetime to give you the attention you need and also provide the cultural background which will enhance your Spanish learning experience.
Spanish Passport will familiarize you with all tenses, over 200 of the most used verbs and essential vocabulary in an all purpose workbook. All you'll need to complement your Spanish lessons is a good dictionary.
Beginners typically are able to make simple statements (and be understood!) in the past, present and future in the first two weeks of Spanish courses. BACK
Intermediate students are placed in classes at their level of fluency. Conversational skills become more elaborate with exposure to all tenses. Please complete our level evaluation. BACK
Advanced level Spanish courses include the reading of newspapers, modern Latin American literature, the study of an (authentic) telenovela or film and much conversation.
The standard group class meets two hours a day (Monday thru Friday) and students will do an extra hour and a half homework preparing for next day's conversation topics. BACK
Other Spanish classes and options are available: More or less hours and seminars on the history and culture of Mexico.
THE SCHOOL AND OFF CAMPUS SPANISH COURSES:
The school is a fifteen minute walk S.W. of the center (jardin) of San Miguel de Allende.
Its indoor and outdoor class areas are very comfortable all year round.

Off campus Spanish courses must be arranged at least two weeks before the starting date and a 20% advance on tuition should be paid (the remainder on the first day of class).
